The Duck Races are Back!

In partnership with the Fort Nelson Rotary Club, the Foundation is bringing back the historic
Duck Race!

For those Fort Nelson originals, you'll recall lining up to purchase the coveted wooden ducks, who were all at once released into the Muskwa River and the fastest was scooped up by waiting river boats downstream. 

 

These days, with our beautiful Recreation Centre, we'll use the classic rubber ducks from childhood, and send them down the waterslide at the Aquatic Centre in heats of 250 - the fastest and most agile top 12 will be gathered up to then race against the current in the lazy river, to reveal the reigning champion top 3!
